Camp Galesburg

Last week Ava and Reese experienced Camp Galesburg for the first time.  They spent the week in mommy and daddy's hometown (Galesburg, Illinois) with Grammy, Larry, Nana, and Pappy.  Mommy and daddy took advantage of the time without the girls and visited friends in Minneapolis and had a little downtime back home before the girls' return.  I know you won't be surprised to hear that the girls did plenty of fun things and got extreme amounts of attention.  To name a few exciting outings, the girls took a roundtrip Amtrak train ride to Kewanee having breakfast on the train, went to a tea room for a princess tea party, swam in multiple pools, got pedicures from Aunt Heidi, saw the movie Finding Dory, went to Grammy and Nana's normal coffee/tea shop, ate plenty of ice cream, and helped water the gardens at both homes.  Needless to say we have been retraining the girls this week and bringing them back to reality!  Here are the pictures, pictures, pictures....Warning: There are a lot of them!

A Des Moines Weekend

Last weekend we headed to Des Moines for Zack to take in the Principal Charity Golf Classic (Senior PGA event) with his college friend Tony on Thursday and Friday.  Then on Saturday and Sunday we had a little reunion with some of my college friends and their families.  While daddy was at the golf event and Tony's family was busy at work/school, the girls and I went to Living History Farms.  The girls loved seeing how people used to live and farm long ago.

The time with my college friends and their families included swimming at the hotel and a cookout at a friend's house who lives in town.  It was so much fun having all of our kids together!
