Haircuts and Jack-o-Lanterns and So Much More

The last couple days have been full of "cuts".  Yes, the girls got their first haircuts...well, official haircuts any way.  Ava had a little trim by mama a while back but nothing major.  We went all out and went to Shear Madness which is a place that specializes in children's haircuts.  As you can see they have all the bells and whistles so kiddos remember it and want to come back.  Fun car seats to sit in and TVs at every station.  They did great due to being mesmerized by everything around them.

We also turned out plain old pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.  They weren't too excited about getting the gunk out of the inside but it sure was fun to put a candle in and watch it light up!

We've also been busy with visitors.  Grammy and Larry were here last weekend so we went to the mall (the mall that is falling apart but is still really fun for kids...The Great Mall of the Great Plains) on a cold, yucky day and spent some time and money riding rides.  What fun!

And did we mention we also went to the KC Pumpkin Patch with them?!

We also got new turkey hats from Grammy to get ready for the next holiday.

In the meantime, Nana and Pappy are here and we are gearing up for Halloween tomorrow.  And don't worry, there will be plenty of pictures to share soon.  Did you hear me say Nana is here?!

Loving Fall

We have been keeping busy around here.  Nothing too crazy but just our normal busy.  Here are some things we have been up to lately...

Being introduced to Twinkies...that's what we are being for Halloween after all!

Good stuff!  Where have these been the last two and a half years?!

Painting pumpkins...Reese is such an expert she doesn't even have to look while she's doing it!

Spending extra time at the park since our warm days are coming to an end...who knew trying to go up a slide could be so funny!

Talking.  A lot.  I can't remember the exact figure but I recently heard that the average 3 year old asks more than 300 questions a day.  Is that possible you ask?  Come spend a day at our house.  I think that means we hear over 600 questions a day from these two who are just about two months shy of 3 years old!
