Thanksgiving

This past week has had its ups and downs.  Within the same week of my dad's 2nd anniversary of his death my grandpa passed away at the age of 93.  He lived a good, long life and was ready to go but it was difficult with the memory of my dad's passing and funeral service, as we gathered with all of the extended family on his side of the family.  On the upside of things it has been wonderful spending extra time with family.  My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew we planning to come last night (Wednesday) but came Sunday instead in order to be here for the visitation and funeral.  So, yesterday and today were spent together hanging out and taking part in some exciting adventures!

Bowling for the very first time...

Reese, Ava, and Bubba

Reese getting a little help and a high five from Auntie Amber
Ava trying to bowl on her own...this was before we decided to use the bumpers!  Notice how interested she is once she pushes the ball down the lane..ha ha.

Reese was a little more successful with Mommy's help and of course the bumpers!

We also took part in the Thanksgiving 5K and Family Stroll...

Gotta love the hats!

Ava getting to run a little at the race.  Well, actually not during the race but on the way to the car...little does she know!

And of course, Reese too.

And finally, sitting down to a yummy Thanksgiving meal...

Bubba and Uncle Chad

Today was definitely a day to remember all the things God has blessed our family with.  We hope it was the same type of day for you!
