I thought I'd take a minute to share some pictures of our eventful day. It started off with the Overland Park Regional Medical Center NICU Reunion which was at Wonderscope, a local children's museum. We look forward to this every year. We get to see many of the nurses and doctors who took care of Ava and Reese, as well as some families that we've met along the way who also spent time in the NICU. With a storybook theme, they asked people to come dressed as favorite storybook characters. Ava and Reese were two of the few that actually came dressed up but they had fun doing it. Curious George and the man with the yellow hat didn't want to keep things on too long though...the novelty wore off.

Then our day ended with the "Backyard BBQ" at our church. Everything was great until we got our food and found a nice table in the church's backyard. Then came the rain. Honestly, Ava and Reese were wondering why everyone was running for cover. Eating their food was a priority. So, we carefully moved them under a tent and the eating carried on. By the looks of things you may come to the conclusion that we hadn't fed the girls in a couple weeks. I promise we feed them. Every few hours in fact!
The video below didn't occur today but I just got it from Nana today and thought I'd include it. She appropriately titled this video "FREE TOYS"!
